19th-Century Golden Sapphire, Pearl, and Demantoid Pendant

This late 19th-century pendant from the Gleim Collection features a spectacular array of fine colored gemstones. The central 17.75 carat golden sapphire is surrounded by demantoid garnets, and the 10.25 millimeter pearl is flanked by two red spinels. A rare 2.67-carat demantoid garnet forms the bottom of the pendant. The entire piece is accented by diamonds.
